Ssahng Jeol Bong Forms?
Ok, I am a black belt I just turned a black belt only in November. I do taekwondo in ATA. I know it is a McDojo, so don't answer back stupid stuff. My instructor tells me that I have to do my Recommended Black Belt From and my Ssahng Jeol Bong form and Sparring. This "Ssahng Jeol Bong" is what you call in japanese "nunchuks" right? If I am right then you could answer my question.
My Question: Can anyone answer me some websites for these or even send me these videos to email@example.com , slowly and perfectly. Also along with your answer send me some tips toward the sparring, like killer moves that I could earn some points with easy moves. I am not very good with head-kicks, though. I am asking this only because I am entering the March 2010 Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Depending on whether this is a WTF or ATA tournament.
If you are an ATA student, do not waste your money going to Nationals this year at Vegas. I trained with 1 of the top 2 teams in the US and I've been to States, Nationals and International WTF tournaments many times. If your coming from an ATA school you will not win. In fact you will probably get hurt. PLEASE do not take this the wrong way. I recommend you finding a real Tae Kwon Do school that revolve themselves around tournament style fighting and then take it from there. I've seen kids get hurt all the time in these National and International tournaments and its not good.
FYI: In the past 10 years I have seen 7 black-belt students (ages 11-17) in our school. One of the students had to compete with white belts and the other 6 students had to compete with yellow belts at Florida States (WTF). There belts were never taken from them because I am sure they earned them in there previous schools, but it was obvious that there parents were wasting there money in ATA. ATA is like the Boyscouts of Tae Kwon Do.
I also sent you an email.
